I got this book today and read it all the way through. It turns out that it just didn't have the information I was looking for. As soon as I read something like, "How to be financially free in five years using none of your own cash or credit" - I immediately shut down. The book reads like those "house flipping" infomercials on television. I was looking for solid information on how to buy a small apartment building conventionally, things to watch out for, how to calculate operating expenses, etc. This book suggests that you buy real estate using OPM (other people's money) and run the property with a management firm.
This is similar in concept to micro-tasks, except that it is oriented toward specific services, such as cleaning services, pest inspection, handyman services, house cleaning, lawn & garden services or any of the skilled trades. It might actually be more accurate to say that it is a platform where skilled service providers can offer their services to site visitors, similar to Angie’s List.
Do you see all of those articles, tutorials and guides all over the Internet? Somebody wrote every one of them! If you have decent writing ability (no, you don’t need a journalism degree!), and knowledge in a few specific topic areas, you can be one of those writers. It’s an opportunity to make money online and without ever leaving your home. It’s also the kind of venture that can start out as a small side business, but grow into a full-time career.

In other words, the way to outperformance (alpha) is to buy small caps and wait for them to grow so that the market rewards the same assets with a higher multiple. Find a growing small REIT with a solid management team and let them run their game plan. That's the secret.
A freelancing service is something that can, with the right strategy and action, turn into something more productized and passive. Brian Casel, featured guest on SPI Podcast Session #158, talks about how he was able to turn his stress-inducing one-on-one design service business into something that was actually more productized, passive, and profitable. I highly recommend you listen to that episode if you have a service-based business and you feel stuck.
As well as selling your eBooks, Amazon can also create paperback copies of your book. CreateSpace, an Amazon-owned company, will help you self-publish your book. A relatively straightforward process, you must upload your work to CreateSpace and submit it for review. Your book will then be displayed on Amazon, and printed on demand and shipped by CreateSpace when purchased. And you can collect up to 70% royalties for each book sold.
So when I'm looking for REITs, I hunt for experienced management teams with a great track record. These executives should have industry contacts that allow them to source deals that may not be available to larger players. These are the reasons I like Jernigan Capital (NYSE:JCAP) in the storage space. It's run by industry veteran Dean Jernigan, who spent seven years at the helm of CubeSmart and then ventured out on his own with this small REIT, now just a $379 million market cap. A few deals for Jernigan can really move the needle, while its publicly traded peers – all of which are substantially larger – must acquire dozens of assets each year to move the needle on growth. It also doesn't hurt that Jernigan pays a 7% yield. I'll have a piece soon that explains more about this tiny REIT. In the meantime, here's a rundown on storage REITs. 

Working from home takes a lot of self-discipline. Before you become a remote worker, make sure you have a good system for keeping yourself organized and on task. Use whatever works for you – make a bullet journal, organize your duties on Trello, keep a detailed Google Calendar with Calendly for setting meetings. Just make sure you have a self-management scheme that keeps you going. I really like the new Focused Collection from Erin Condren.
Great reasons for wanting to stay at home and work. My reason for wanting to stay at home is spend more time with my kid and husband. I want to be able to work on a business together so my husband and I can work together as a team. Also, we want to be able to travel as we work! I cant wait to make this dream a reality. We have set a deadline to make the leap on Aug1st 2017.

Need more ideas on how to make money online? Another strategy is using webinars to market your product, service, or course. I’ve done webinars to promote my financial planning practice and to drum up interest in my online course for financial advisors. With a webinar, you’re basically offering a lot of tips and advice for free — usually in a live format. At the end though, you pitch your paid product or service with the goal of securing a few deals.
If you have nothing of value to sell from home then retail arbitrage might be a better option for you. Many people partake in arbitrage to earn a little extra money, and for some, it has even become their full-time job. Retail arbitrage is the buying of goods at a low price and then selling them on a different platform at a higher price. Sales in shops provide ideal opportunities to pick up products for next to nothing. These can then be sold on eBay or Amazon for higher amounts, making you a nice profit.

How much will you make? I think my best month with Google AdSense was almost $5,000 over the last ten years. That amazing month blew my mind since it was actually near the beginning of my blogging journey. When you go from making zero to $5,000 in a month, that will rock your world. For me, it also got me even more excited because I knew there were other ways to monetize.
